There are few modes of E1 wiring connection.
Mode 1 Unbalanced (see Fig1): E1 system connected by Coaxial (Unbalanced) impedance cables
E1 Units connected by Twisted pair cables (Balanced) cables
- all E1 units connectedin direct way between them . Any additional connection of Monitoring device will totally destroy the E1 signal and will affect normal system activity.
E1 Units Input impedance setup is or . Monitoring unit connected in Non Intrusive mode via Attenuator, without destroy normal system activity.
In case of , all of them are equipped with internal selectable input devices. It means that after device setup to mode of operation, it could be connected to the “live” E1 lines w/o using any additional Attenuator device.
